Tomorrow evening, Wednesday 3rd November 2021 @ 7:30pm, we will be joined in our FREE Business Support Session by fashion designer, founder of KĀHUI Collective, and co-founder of the brand KIRI NATHAN, Kiri Nathan, and Managing Director of Maoriland Trust, Film Maker, Producer, and writer, Libby Hakaraia.

Kiri Nathan is co-founder of self-named fashion brand KIRI NATHAN. KN embodies identity and inclusivity. Inspired by Aotearoa & Te Ao Māori, the company is built on tradition, culture, unique designs, integrity, and a clear company vision.

Kiri Nathan founded the KĀHUI Collective in 2017, which supports the growth and mentorship of indigenous creatives and entrepreneurs. Kiri also contributes to many artistic initiatives and commissions.

Libby Hakaraia has worked as a producer, director and writer in television and film for the past 25 years. Libby is a producer of the 2021 feature film Cousins and of 26 short films. She has also directed over 20 broadcast documentaries as well as three short dramas that have travelled the globe.

Libby is passionate about the role of the storyteller and about carving out opportunities for Māori and Indigenous filmmakers and artists.

For the past 7 years, Libby has led the successful rapid growth of the Māoriland Film Festival now the largest Indigenous film festival in the Southern hemisphere. She has spearheaded the establishment of the Māoriland Hub and the strategy of the Māoriland Charitable Trust to be a Centre of Excellence for Māori Film and Creative Arts.
