We appreciate that whānau will want to help in anyway they can - Our strong message to all whānau is the best help in this level 4 stage is to Stay at home. The Health & Safety of all kaimahi and whānau is paramount. It is very important that whānau know that we have strict protocol in place which prohibits any non approved members onsite at all times throughout the alert level 4 stage. Authorized Tīhei Mauri Ora Essential Service Community workers & Te Kupenga Hauora kaimahi are the only approved people to be onsite. Any non approved visitors will be asked respectfully to leave the premises as a safety precaution.
COMMUNITY CHAMPIONS
Community Champions reach into the depths of our whānau in Ahuriri, they will identify a priority list where supplies are needed in partnership with their respective organisation or roopū and send through to this information to this email. Important we are able to capture Names, Address and contact details.
KAI PACKAGE DISTRIBUTION
Today the first delivery of kai supplies arrived onsite and over the next few days more we will be expecting more to enable us to start the first deployment of Kai packages to our community of Ahuriri. This will start off small this week as our whānau adapt to the change of circumstances, but we then expect these to increase as we move into the second and third week and the need starts to grow and this situation really starts to impact us as a community. Again, this is the importance of providing your champions with the email and phone line details of the Hub to make contact with us.
Our team will be working through the logistics of deployment but we aim to start delivery over the weekend.
If you have contacts with supplies that can help our whānau in need, please contact us and we will be more than happy to look into that.
Remember to please encourage our whānau not panic, stay home and stay safe!
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
