CEASAR Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) opens to public
The CEASAR MMA is a Hastings based, fully equipped combat sports facility designed for professional level training to create world class athletes and raise the morale of young people in our communities. Inside the facility there is a full sized boxing ring, sufficient space for ground level sparring, specialist wrestling & Jiu Jitsu, an MMA Cage Simulation area with a wide range of hanging bags. Outside the facility is a purpose built concrete pad for outdoor activities.
CEASAR MMA was created by head coach and New Zealand Heavy Weight Champion, Pane ?the punisher? Haraki. His dream to have a world class fight academy has developed over the past 16 years with his journey of fighting and training in multiple disciplines around the globe alongside many of the worlds MMA Superstars. ?This is something that I?ve wanted to do to show others how you can turn around your life around for the better and help others focus their energy with discipline and desire? says Pane. ?If you?re willing to do something, you will work hard towards it?
Pane was crowned the new WKN New Zealand Heavy Weight Champion in Auckland on the 24 March 2021 and now he is preparing for the King in the Ring 8 man series taking place on Saturday 19 June at the Auckland. These 8 top stand up fighters will square off under K1 rules in an explosive last man standing elimination format to see who is the King of their weight division. The 8 man line up for 2021 is Navajo Stirling, Nato Laauli, Eli Taito, James Craughwell, Epe Kaihau, Pane Haraki, Des Tana and Joel Martin.
On Saturday 5 June the opening of the new facility will commence with a morning ceremony followed by a Seminar / W?nanga with guest NZ MMA Daniel Hooker, aka ?The Hangman?. Daniel who was the King in the Ring Middleweight Kickboxing Champion and WKBF X-Rules Welterweight Champion, currently competes in the lightweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. See poster below for more information.
The CEASAR MMA facility is run by the CEASAR MMA Trust. All funds come from sponsorship or support from the community or the users of the facility. There is an opportunity for community sponsorship. If you are interested, contact CEASAR MMA on 021 215 3287
