Māori Built Heritage are unique taonga in their construction and artwork expression. Caring for these taonga can be challenge requiring specialist knowledge in both traditional and modern preservation techniques.
As part of the Mātauranga Māori Contestable Grants programme we are offering ten grants of up to $25,000 each for iwi, hapū and hāpori Māori for work focused on revitalising vulnerable Māori Built Heritage within four areas: traditional buildings, tārai waka, mahinga kai, and māra kai.
