HINETEIWAIWA - MAORI MIDWIFERY SCHOLARSHIPS
Turuki are excited to launch the Hine-te-iwaiwa scholarships to support Maori midwifery students studying the Bachelor of Health Science Midwifery Programme at Wintec. There are two scholarships valued at $4,000 each up for grabs. To apply please email Heneriata at Heneriata.Paringatai@hbdhb.govt.nz for the application form.

You are eligible for this scholarship if:
• You are Māori
• You are a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent resident
• You are currently in your first or second year as a student midwife enrolled in the Bachelor of Health Science Midwifery Programme at Wintec
• You reside in the Hawkes Bay and intend to join the Hawke’s Bay Midwifery Workforce upon graduation
• You and your whānau are available to attend an interview if shortlisted and fulfil the presentation requirement

Key Selection Criteria:
• Proven academic achievement
• Present a creative 10-15 minute presentation as part of the interview process detailing both:
- Involvement in your marae, iwi, hapū, and/or wider Māori community
- How you can ensure successful completion of the midwifery degree
