At the Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi Incorporated (NKII) Board hui held last Friday via zoom, the Board members discussed its response to the issues surrounding our whānau due to the quick spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus and the impact on whānau due to the level 4 lock down.
The NKII Board is doing its job and advocating with government agencies at local, regional and national level to ensure our Taiwhenua/districts in whom our Board represent, are well supported and that whānau are well physically, spiritually and emotionally. The iwi put out a document 'Te Hononga Ora' which includes a Karakia that can be said in each home throughout Kahungunu. The following videos are accessible from the website. Click on the Wairua link to learn the Karakia. Words are also on the attached poster.

During these extraordinary times we must stay positive, keep calm, assess our circumstance and work through this together as individuals in our whānau and communities.
Kia Kaha whānau.
