The second Virtual Matariki Competition sharethelightkahungunu ‘Karaoke Winner’ Revealed

Well, whānau, we need to be straight up here; we did not receive many submissions for our second virtual Matariki #sharethelightkahungunu” Karaoke Competition this week. We are starting to think that our Kahungunu whānau are a shy bunch of people…..hmmm, I don’t think so.

We are so excited, however, that we have a winner for this week and her name is Hinematewaia Vercoe. She is one talented māmā. She’s a busy mum of two beautiful children, she can create lanterns out of recyclable items from her home, and guess what whānau … she can sing!.

Congratulations Hinematewaia, you are our Karaoke Competition Winner for our Virtual Matariki #sharethelightkahungunu Karaoke competition. Our undercover independent Judge said, “Hinematewaia deserves a medal just for participating because she’s a good sport”

When we spoke to Hinematewaia, she said that she’s over the moon and can’t understand why people are shy to enter.

Right, right, Okay, our next competition that starts today is a cooking one. Now we know Kahungunu whānau can cook. So don’t be shy whānau. Get Cooking and Share your yummiest dish!! That’s all it takes. See the poster below.

Go to our website to see the full competition. We have a competition running each week until our Virtual Matariki event which takes place on Friday 12 June. Up until then, everyone who has entered into any of the lead up competitions will go into the draw to win the overall prize. The overall winner will be revealed on 12 June 2020. Weekly winners are revealed on Friday of each week. The weekly competitions close at 12noon each Friday, so get cooking. You can enter as many times as you like.
