As a recap – Downers have three programmes that they are running to help get people into work, and to upskill their current workforce.
The Road Ready Programme has ten available places and is a week-long training programme that prepares whānau to work at Downers – this could include licences, qualifications and training
At the end of the programme, participants are guaranteed 40 hours minimum work week and a guaranteed 6 month contract.
This is a great opportunity and perfect for someone out there who is interested in being a part of Waingākau dream, as the participants will be part of the crew working on the new roads.

There is also a programme starting in July which is aimed at Rangatahi (16 – 25 year olds) so if you are working with our Rangatahi and know of someone that this would fit with, please keep email Hannah to register interest.
