Communications Response to Covid - What you need to know today

• Our COVID-19 information for Māori provides up to date information about what is happening around the motu and the support available.
• Ka mau te wehi e te whānau! 89% of eligible New Zealanders have had one dose of the vaccine and 79% are fully vaccinated. We still have work to do!
• • Check the Karawhiua website to find vaccination clinics near you and use the 'Vax Now' function to find pop-up and walk-in clinics.
  • Auckland will move to Alert Level 3, Step 2 at 11.59pm 11 November 2021. 
  • Upper Northland will move to Alert Level 2 at 11.59pm on 11 November 2021.
  • Te Whānau o Waipareira have taken four of their mobile clinics to Northland! Check out their Facebook page for updates on locations to get your vaccination.
  • The Shot Doy vaccination bus will be at Ruapōtaka School from 9am to 2pm and Mt Roskill, 22 Stoddard Road 9am to 3pm today.
  • The Delta Buster is at Countdown, Petone today from 10am to 3pm.
  • Golden Bay Community Health is running a drive-through clinic at 10 Central Takaka Road on Friday 12 November 9.30am to 12.30 pm. No booking needed!
  • Remember to get tested if you have been at a location of interest or if you are unwell. A list of test sites and their opening hours can be found on theHealthpoint website.

   

  COVID-19 Statistics and Facts as at 2pm, 9 Whiringa-ā-rangi 2021

  • There are 125 new cases of COVID-19 on the community. 117 are in Tāmaki Makaurau, 2 are in the Waikato and 6 are in Northland. It is important to get tested if you have flu symptoms or have been near a location of interest.
  • There are currently 79 people in hospital across Aotearoa. Nine are in intensive care or High Dependency Units.
  • 425,891 (75%) of Māori have received their first vaccination and 328,380 (58%) have received their second.
  • Vaccinations are open to all whānau 12 years and over, and they’re free. Encourage your whānau and rangatahi to get vaccinated.
