A new CEO for the Hawke's Bay District Health Board has been announced.   

Keriana Brooking has whakapapa whānau links to Te Matau a Māui and will take over the role in October 2020.

It is an exciting prospect to have a wāhine Māori to lead the HBDHB in itself and it is  hoped that the dire statistics for Māori health in the region will gain some focus with her appointment.
